# Investor Proof and Claims Register

Status: canonical investor-communication evidence gate
Evidence date: 2026-07-29
Supersedes: older investor-use proof wording wherever it conflicts
Does not supersede: the technical job-before-price thesis

## Current public stage

> Roover has built and piloted components of a buyer-side roofing workflow. The next proof is a reconciled cohort covering packet cost and sufficiency, independent roofer response, price survival, homeowner selection, contracting, collected revenue and physical outcome.

No current Roover operating metric cleared independent main-deck verification in the 29 July 2026 research audit.

## Evidence provenance

This register is the durable communication summary of the 29 July 2026 investor research package. The detailed source chains, boundaries and red-team analysis remain in:

## Claim classes

| Class | Meaning | External treatment |
|---|---|---|
| Confirmed fact | Primary or authoritative evidence supports the bounded statement | May use with source, geography, period and definition |
| Publicly supportable precedent | External evidence supports the operating principle | May use without claiming residential transfer |
| Product / architecture evidence | The component or designed workflow exists | May show; do not imply operating performance |
| Internal operating evidence | Internal or connector-derived evidence exists | Qualify and reconcile before main-deck use |
| Founder account | Mike's first-person chronology or recollection | Attribute and reconcile where material |
| Anecdotal evidence | Observed or reported behaviour without a verified denominator | Use only as colour |
| Private industry signal | Non-public access, conversation or interest | Keep private unless permissioned; never call traction |
| Commercial hypothesis | Proposed payer, value capture, distribution or economics | Frame as a test |
| Unproven rate | Conversion, cost, response, price survival or repeatability without a reconciled cohort | Do not state as achieved |
| Conditional outcome | Larger company potential after explicit proof gates | Use `if`, not inevitability |

## Safe main-deck claims

- Professional procurement can give contractors a common information basis before selection while preserving contractor qualifications, judgment and site investigation.
- Commercial remote imagery, geometry and estimating inputs exist; this does not prove Roover coverage or packet sufficiency.
- Roover is testing the residential translation: prepare the homeowner's pricing basis first, let roofers price independently, then let the selected roofer confirm the physical job.
- The workflow is designed to preserve evidence, scope version, conditional initial pricing, site confirmation and outcome.
- Australia had 11,452,200 residential dwellings at December 2025.
- New Zealand had an estimated 2,124,800 private dwellings at 30 June 2026.
- The US American Housing Survey recorded 8.3 million homeowner roofing-improvement projects and US$93.5 billion of expenditure across 2021–2023. This is multi-year improvement activity, not annual replacement TAM.
- This round is to prove useful pre-site pricing, survival through site confirmation, repeat roofer participation, homeowner progression and true variable economics.

## Important claim classifications

| Topic | Current classification | Safe treatment |
|---|---|---|
| RoofBuddy | Publicly supportable category example; company-reported activity figures | It operates a managed NZ quote platform. Its reported counts/value do not prove completion, economics, comparable scope or Roover. |
| Roofing Industries / Vulcan | Private industry signal and potential partner route | Describe only with permission. No commitment, funding, launch or signed distribution claim. |
| Supplier reaction | Anecdotal/private industry signal | Useful for partner discovery, not proof of competitive tension or willingness to pay. |
| Product cost reduction | Commercial hypothesis supported by component availability | Say the workflow is now testable; do not say household-scale economics or near-zero cost are proved. |
| Marketplace proof | Internal operating evidence, currently unreconciled | Do not claim a completed transaction, proven take rate, three prices in 24 hours or paid conversion until primary records reconcile. |
| Partner distribution | Commercial hypothesis | A route to test, not traction, zero CAC or current moat. |
| Geographic scalability | Conditional outcome | Test one market cell and a matched second front door before claiming portability. |
| Pricing profiles | Product architecture / hypothesis | May reduce invitation intensity; do not say they solve liquidity, identify the winning price or make one price sufficient. |
| Data compounding | Architecture and hypothesis | The system is designed to capture records; measurable prospective improvement is unproved. |
| Founder chronology | Founder account | Use first-person discovery story only after the 16/18-month and longer RoofHero chronology are reconciled. |
| A$250,000 round / A$100,000 initial close | Working funding intent | Confirm the current ask, runway, milestones and use of funds before placing either figure in a deck or Loom. |

## Do not use as achieved claims

- a completed Roover roof or proven take rate;
- three prices in 24 hours;
- one in twenty homeowners paid;
- A$209 as proven packet cost;
- A$216.88 as CAC;
- database inventory as active supply;
- exact AU/NZ annual replacement TAM without calibrated evidence;
- `20% fat`, quantified waste or universal three-quote behaviour;
- `the professional model is proven` without the household-transfer boundary;
- no competitors, data moat, fair market price, zero-CAC partner distribution;
- roll-former competition for Roover;
- a Roofing Industries or Vulcan commitment;
- instant final quote, eliminated site visit, winner-takes-all or inevitable infrastructure.

## Required terminology

Use:

- pricing basis;
- conditional initial roofer pricing or offer;
- site-confirmed contractor quote;
- professional ordering precedent;
- large recurring installed base;
- partner option;
- architecture designed to capture;
- hypothesis to be measured.

Do not collapse estimate, conditional initial pricing and site-confirmed contractor quote.

## Proof ladder

> Prepared job → successful transaction → repeat informed buyer → multi-front-door distribution → pricing and outcome memory → conditional transaction infrastructure

Current status:

1. Prepared job to successful transaction — plausible, not independently repeated.
2. Successful transaction to repeat informed buyer — hypothesis.
3. Repeat informed buyer to multi-front-door distribution — hypothesis.
4. Multi-front-door distribution to pricing and outcome memory — architecture only.
5. Pricing and outcome memory to transaction infrastructure — speculation.

## Next evidence gate

Run one consecutive cohort under frozen definitions and retain:

- immutable job ID;
- homeowner intent and confirmation;
- evidence and scope version;
- invitations, responses and conditional prices;
- selection;
- site findings and reason-coded changes;
- site-confirmed contractor quote;
- contract, invoice, payment and physical outcome;
- Roover revenue;
- human, data and support cost.
